A Truly Private and Exquisite Villa On the Turkish Riviera

Last week I was fortunate enough to visit Villa Macakizi near Bodrum and I have to say it was truly breathtaking. This sophisticated private villa with 10 bedrooms and a private beachfront is located on the turquoise Turkish Riviera in a sheltered cove on the enchanting Aegean Coast. With breathtaking views of Paradise Bay it is ideal for guests in search of luxury and privacy in exquisite surroundings.

We took a 10 minute private speedboat from Macakizi Hotel to Macakizi Villa and on arrival at the jetty, which is located by the villas private bathing platforms and bar, there was a feeling of calmness, privacy and exclusivity. As we stepped off the boat we were greeted by sophisticated staff offering us champagne and cocktails before being led up the meandering steps and through the abundant gardens, with the sweet scent of jasmine, to the stunning pool area and then onto the villa to meet owner, Sahir Erozan, and villa Chef and Director, Carlo Bernardini and the team.

Carlo the epitome of “mine host” and his team off 55 staff, yes 55 who have been through a strict recruitment process, have most certainly created something exceptional for clients who expect the best of everything from beautiful surroundings and interiors to discreet but super slick service in the privacy of a truly private paradise, where nothing seems to be the impossible.

I felt this was not a villa in the traditional sense but a private residence offering exceptional service, food and experiences that go over and beyond those of a boutique hotel. Facilities include a gym, spa (sauna, steam bath, hammam, yoga room, massage room), 200 sqm infinity pool, terrace, dining, lounge, bar, private docking and many private spaces. Luxury exudes throughout the property from the carefully chosen one off pieces of furniture to the extensive array of crockery and local and international wines. As well as a 24/7 butler service, Carlo and his team are at your disposal to create bespoke menus for your stay while the villa’s sommelier curates wine from the Villa’s extensive International cellar.

There is no doubt in saying that is the perfect venue for a private party, wedding or exclusive event and it was an absolute privilege to of been hosted and welcomed into this stylish but yet unique property by Carlo, Sahir and the team at Villa Macakizi. Our evening at Villa Macakizi was completely faultless and truly memorable.
